This is How We Live

According to the comedian talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres, technology is slowly killing us. The advnancements we have made up to todays day and age are making the population lack all demands of physical activity. Some examples are microwaves. If you can put something frozen in an object and have it come out fully cooked in three minutes, chances are its from hell! Also, breath mints have been uprgraded to breath strips, and yogurt comes in the form of gogurt. Full course meals are now stuffed into one object called the powerbar! The packages of brand new CD's come in government plastic, nothing a civilian can open nor buy. Bateries are also manufactured as if companies dont want people to open them. Toilet paper in public bathrooms might as well be non-existent because it come packaged so sheer. The biggest technological advancement that is ruining our society is cell phones. They are EVERYWHERE. Always going off during conversations, meetings, movies, etc. There is bad reception, no call waiting, and you have to stick your finger in your ear to partially hear someone talking. The best part about cell phones is that they have advanced to no-hand cell phones. People. If you need both hands to do something, you should probably use your brain to.

I fullly agree with DeGeneres. I hate technology with a passion, even though it makes life very easy.

Entertainment

The former child-prodigy violinist, Joshua Bell, perfomed an experiment where he performed several pieces standing against a wall outside the Metro. He didnt play popuar tunes, rather he performed pieces that endured centuries on their brilliance and soared through cathedrals and concert halls. Performing through busy city streets while commuters were passing by. Do they stop? Do they keep walking? Or do they just pass by and pretend they dont hear him? In the busy city life I would have to say that I would keep walking by. As much as I would like to stop and listen to the wonderful music, Id have to keep walking due to the hectic society we live in.
